Without Speight, No. 4 Michigan shakes off Indiana, 20-10

There was a fun and cool scene late in No. 3 Michigan's win over in on Saturday afternoon at Michigan Stadium.

"It felt like an old-fashioned slobberknocker", he said. The result was a sack and an interception by Conley to seal the Buckeyes' victory. That's not to say that the Wolverines played shutdown defense, as IN seemed to march down the field on more than one occasion.

OK. Take a moment for the collective sigh of relief.

Charlie Strong's time in Austin is running short, and we're of the opinion that it doesn't matter if his team finishes bowl eligible.

It's a Big Ten bout from the Big House.

MI had been a defense-first football team under head coach Jim Harbaugh, leaning on superstar linebacker Jabrill Peppers. Nebraska is going to want to run the heck out of the ball, and without a good push from the big men up front, that gameplan will fall right through the cracks.

“We dont need to add anything to the game. "The game is big enough in itself". Two out of those four now hold spots in the College Football Playoff Top-4. MI quarterback Wilson Speight is out, and no one knows how his replacement John O'Korn will fare. He didnt play well.

IN (5-6, 3-5) couldn't put together much else against Michigan's stout defense, which continued a terrific season by holding the Hoosiers to 226 yards of total offense.

You'd think MI would nonetheless simply be able to run the ball up the gut.

"It was fun after the game was over standing around", Allen said of the snow.

GOP Takeover of Iowa Senate Part of National Trend
Nearly lost in all the furor about the presidential candidates this election was the equally important issue of the Senate. Ayotte had a 1.5 percentage point lead over Hassan in polls between October 28 and November 6, RealClearPolitics said.

But give John OKorn, Speights replacement, credit. To put those numbers in perspective for MI fans, the Hoosiers have two receivers who have been about as effective as Michigan's No. 1 receiver, Amara Darboh.

The Hoosiers couldn't stop anybody, including MI, on defense last season. Four different players have rushed for at least 400 yards this season, but Smith has easily been their best back all year - when he gets the ball. The Wolverines lead the nation in scoring defense (11.0) and total defense (244.7). 3. The score was set up thanks to a partially blocked punt from senior Michael Jocz and a 25-yard run on fourth down from Smith. "Gotta complete passes when opportunities present themselves".

"Luckily our run game and our O-line had my back today", O'Korn said. Redding ran 23 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns in last week's loss to then-No.

"That's what sparked us", Smith said.

"The way it works is the doctors are in control", Harbaugh said.

With only two weeks left until the Big Ten Championship game, who do you see as the front-runner for Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year? One of those, by Lagow, was scooped up and returned for Penn State's final touchdown. Yet, the Buckeyes have been surprisingly inconsistent this season. They aren't unbeatable, that's for certain.

IN has fumbled nine times in the last two weeks, losing seven. Entering Saturday's contest, the Wolverines were averaging 236 rushing yards and 231 passing yards per game.

"Everybody better come ready for practice on Tuesday", he said. “I feel good about it.

"The team has confidence in John and John has confidence in himself and it's still a team game".
