"The only problem is we will have someone put something in the trailers that can't be recycled, or they'll put garbage in the trailer".

All drop-off sites will close for the season on Saturday, January 14, 2017 and will reopen on March 11, 2017. You can drop off boxes and recyclable holiday materials until January 3. In other jurisdictions, it's up to homeowners to drop off their old trees.

All ornaments and lights must be removed beforehand as the trees will be chipped and turned into mulch, the city said.

Christmas is over but you may want to cling to the holidays for a few more weeks.

"We always recommend to people to send their tree to their nearest recycling centre once Christmas is over".

Dry Christmas trees can quickly become a fire hazard. When the holidays are done, pull the sheet, drop cloth or bag around the tree and carry it outside.

Recently, though, Minnesota's defense has not played very well - mostly because of being on the field more than they should. They will clash against the Minnesota Vikings in one of the most important games for them this season.

As for the trees grown by the Jacobses and their employees, some will be cut down as part of the Christmas tradition where the little ones seek out the best tree to take home.

Residents are asked to bring only live trees, no wreaths or artificial trees.

After Jan. 15, you can take your tree to the Cherry Creek Recycling Drop-off site at the corner of East Cherry Creek Drive South and South Quebec Street.

Residents who recycle their Christmas tree will receive a free 3-gallon evergreen tree in exchange, while supplies last.

Trees should be placed on the curb on the same day that your trash gets picked up.
