The most anticipated matchup of the divisional round of the National Football League playoffs might be the Atlanta Falcons' No. 1 scoring offense against the Seattle Seahawks' No. 3 scoring defense. Matt Ryan will certainly be looking for redemption against the same team that sent him home the last time he was involved in the playoffs. If he can't get the job done Atlanta's passing offense will have a hard time indeed getting off the ground. Here is their chance.

Besides, the DJ pointed out, he always plays future songs at the Atlanta Dome.

The Falcons experienced that atmosphere when they lost 26-24 at Seattle on October 16. In possibly the final Falcons game in the Georgia Dome, I look for Ryan and Julio to find their connection early and often as the Falcons win and move on to the NFC Championship game.

Remember that play at the end of the Week 6 matchup? The Falcons' line has been a much-improved unit since Week 6.

Ranking among four divisional matchups: Third. "It's one of those games you store away, but it doesn't have anything to do with what's going on now". Ryan has been historically terrific this year, and he'll have plenty of space to work with.

Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones said there was no doubt Richard Sherman interfered with Jones on his team's final play in Atlanta's? The Seahawks won just three road games all season, but did beat New England in Foxboro. The Seahawks returned to their playoff form last week with great plays from the receiving core and shut down defense on Matt Stafford, on the flip side the Falcons have been on an offensive mission unlike anything we've seen in recent years, but that won't be their only key to victory. The defense can simply add to it. Would you rather see the Falcons lose in an embarrassing blowout where the outcome is never really in question like in 2011, or in a heart-breaking defeat that leaves the fans hoping the entire way only to be let down, a la 2012?

Even then, it nearly wasn't enough. It never comes down to one play. If he can't do it now, he never will.

Baldwin had 11 receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks Wild-Card win over Detroit last week. The Falcons are better than the Lions, but it's still a defense where you can find some room.

Dabo Swinney reflects on life in Alabama, Nick Saban gets sentimental
Here's how great Alabama's defense is: Jonathan Allen finished sixth in the Heisman voting and received 17 first-place votes. Early in the fourth quarter, Howard became invisible again and caught a wide-open 51-yard score to give Alabama the lead.

"They were the best at the ball", Quinn said. They have done better than I expected, but they did have an easy schedule.

After missing the playoffs the past three seasons, Ryan gets a chance to show that he can win a couple of times in the postseason. He's 8-3, while Ryan is 1-4.

The Rams' return to LA after 21-year hiatus in St. Louis got off to a slow start with the 4-12 Rams that included the firing of coach Jeff Fisher.

He doesn't think it'll affect Wilson, either. Time to prove it again.

The most obvious change to either team has been the Seahawks' loss of safety Earl Thomas; his five-year Pro Bowl streak ended when he missed five of the Seahawks' last six regular-season games with injuries. We want that again. Sherman and company would love nothing more than to shut down the impending MVP.

He is the only Seahawks player with a designation on the report, which is mandatory each Friday before games, as everyone else on the 53-man roster is considered ready to play.

Against Atlanta, the No. 1 seed in the NFC that season, Seattle appeared outclassed, falling behind 20-0 at halftime and 27-7 entering the fourth quarter.
