The press conference, which lasted over 75 minutes, was at turns combative and comical, with Trump alternately joking with and then lecturing the media gathered in the White House East Room. But on Thursday Nunes signaled that he's open to expanding the House Intelligence Committee's ongoing probe of Russia's election interference to include other allegations about the Trump team's contacts with Russian Federation.

The US President displayed a sense of anger and grievance rarely vented by a President in public, CNN reported.

President Donald Trump in a press conference at the White House on Thursday discussed his concern about the leaks taking place from within his administration. His replacement, retired Vice Admiral Robert Harward, also turned down the post.

"The leaks are absolutely real".

Trump, who has used the medium of Twitter and Facebook to convey his views and react to news stories, said that a lot of people are happy about his administration.

The Times reported that federal investigators have evidence that Trump campaign members were in contact with members of the Russian government prior to the election.

When a reporter pointed out that the assertion was inaccurate, Trump replied: "Well, I don't know".

And just this week US officials said that Russian Federation has violated a 1987 arms control agreement with the United States by deploying a new type of cruise missile.

Asked whether he or anyone on his staff had engaged in contacts with Russian Federation prior to the election, Trump proclaimed: "No, nobody that I know of".

As the week marches on, the "Watergate moment" over Trump's ties to Russian Federation that Democrats are eagerly hoping for is slowly withering away.

The arrests were carried out in the Austin area by agents assigned to the San Antonio Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO) office. The Chicago Police Department is not one of the 38 law enforcement agencies that partners with ICE on immigration enforcement.

Let me just say that again. "The news is fake", he said.

"The greatest thing I could do", Trump said, "is shoot that ship that's 30 miles offshore right out of the water". I am here to change the broken system so it serves their families and their communities well.

At times combative, he openly accused reporters of lying, told one to sit down, and asked another if they were "friendly". But that did not assuage Trump.

"You look at your show that goes on at 10 O'clock in the evening. It's a mess. At home and overseas, a mess", Trump said in an 23 minute opening monologue that bore little resemblance to presidential press conferences past. "I don't have to tell you what I'm going to do in North Korea". "I'm really not a bad person, by the way", he said.

"To be honest, I inherited a mess. It's a mess. At home and overseas, a mess".

A new poll has found that President Donald Trump's approval rating increased and has remained constant this week. Trump also said he enjoyed the banter even though he expected headlines to say that he was "ranting and raving". I just have nobody to speak to. But... but I'm not ranting and raving.

"He has offered his services, and, you know, it's something we may take advantage of, but I don't think we'll need that at all", President Trump said, adding that the administration would be able to "straighten it out" with the requested Justice Department investigation.

Trump has also suffered a steady stream of legal setbacks related to his executive order temporarily banning immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries and shutting down the refugee program.

We are still a mere 26 days into the Trump presidency. A spokesman for the vice president said he first learned that he had been misled when the Washington Post on February 9 disclosed that Flynn had, in fact, discussed sanctions with Kislyak, contrary to the vice president's public statements.
