He then mentioned specifically mentioned that the ticker screen would be different yet he didn't give many details. It eliminates the need for cropping and allows the audience to view content exactly the same way it was originally designed for. While the device is as much a late-2016 premium handset than an early-2017 smartphone, the LG G6 includes a number of features that should warrant serious consideration from smartphone users on the lookout for their next device. It comes in three colors - white, silver, and black.

To make the most of the display, the UX and the GUI was modified to provide an optimised expansive screen experience.

The G6 features a metal unibody design with rounded corners and chamfered edges. Instead of the good-ol' 16:9, the new phone rocks a ratio of 18:9 (2:1), allowing LG to do some cool stuff with the phone's interface, by splitting the screen in two or utilizing every part of the long, long screen. And LG, on stage, also said that they tested the design ergonomics alongside Edge displays, where they found that users were exhausted using the latter and more random touches were accounted for. The panel comes in an nearly bezel-less form factor with rounded corners, which LG say should help dissipate the impact energy if the device is dropped.

It's not the only design trick LG has pulled. However due to the odd design of the screen, some apps such as Pokemon Go are having problems with display. Let's take a closer look at their latest high-end smartphone - LG G6. An internal heat pipe is also used on the device. That is, of course, until now, as the LG G6 comes with the powerful artificial intelligence software built-in. All of those features are wrapped in a body that's IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.

The G6 is optimised for Google Assistant.

Edwards retired at the end of past year without ever winning it. "I thought Chase did an awesome job", McMurray said. Man, when I'm trying to get into the Daytona 500, if my mom was in that spot, I'd probably wreck her, too.

We've worked closely worked with LG to make sure the Google Assistant is great from the moment you turn on your device. The display is QHD+ and supports HDR 10 and DolbyVision so you can better enjoy content that you stream. The camera app will have a split-screen mode, and it's more useful than it sounds!

LG checks all the boxes when it comes to the LG G6 cameras. The home button is on the back and doubles as a fingerprint sensor. The phone has two cameras on the back, one that shoots pictures normally, and the other that shoots pictures in wide angles. There is Optical Image Stabilisation 2.0 that offers a smooth and jitter-free optical zoom.

As for the front camera, the LG G6 now has a 5-megapixel front facing camera with the 100-degree wide angle lens when compared to the 8-megapixel front facing camera on the LG G5. The team tested the G6 for its stability.

LG is calling the new aspect standard as the Univisium aspect ration, and according to LG the cinemas, TVs and smartphones will all be moving towards the new aspect ratio. Square photos do the trick for plenty of social media sites like Instagram, but is lacking for other portrait, based platforms. It should also be made available by April.

The G6, which runs on LG's new 6.0 UI built on Android, will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and will draw power from a 3,300 mAh battery.
