Wenger has 'no regrets' about leaving Sanchez out of starting line-up

I expect to see Arsenal utilise their traditional 4-2-3-1 in this match, although Wenger has shown a willingness to move to 4-3-3 at times this season. Now, the Frenchman has taken to the microphone and given a piece of his mind to the news reports.

Arsenal are no route one side and never have been under him, and surely, even then, Sanchez should have started ahead of Alex Iwobi or Alex Oxlade Chamberlain on the wing?

Captain Per Mertesacker was alongside Wenger for the press conference, ostensibly to preview the second leg against Bayern which takes place on Tuesday, and batted away questions about Sanchez's behaviour in training.

"I understand you have to fill newspapers and I respect that". In view of these layouts, you should bet on a home win.

Wenger said his relationship with Sanchez was "honest and normal, like with every single player" and played down the possibility the Chile forward might leave the club during the close season.

Craig Burley can not wrap his head around why Alexis Sanchez would sign a new deal as Arsenal are trending backwards.

Asked directly if the reports were true, Wenger said: "Completely false".

"He has 15 months left on his contract", Wenger said.

Arsenal has been extremely poor against the Top 6 teams so far this season, having five losses and two draws in seven matches.

It established an investment fund in the 1990s which was invited to take a stake in the company during an early investment round. The company started trading at 24 dollars per share around midday Thursday, jumping more than 40 percent from its pricing.

"Let's go Gunners. The only failure is not trying", Sanchez added.

Maybe Wenger's grand plan was to only play Sanchez for one half or not at all so he'd be full strength for the Champions League contest with Bayern Munich.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists he was not shocked by the decision to omit Sanchez from the Arsenal team. With Sanchez starting, he said: "We lost at Chelsea".

"I'm not sure if money is going to keep him there at the moment because if he's storming out of training and not playing in games.it doesn't seem to be a problem for him when he does come on because he still performs to the best of his ability".

He returned to training of Monday morning and was seen shaking hands with Arsene Wenger during the session.

The Chilean eventually came on at half-time - with the Reds 2-0 up - and while he provided an assist for Welbeck to pull a goal back, it was not enough as Liverpool ran out 3-1 winners to leapfrog the Gunners into the top four.

More often than not, an eager kid benefits from the kindness of their sporting heroes and the players who do make a point of making a fan's day ought to be applauded.

Secondly, Arsenal will be eliminated by Bayern Munich tomorrow night and Arsene Wenger's squad rotation for the Premier League can stop.
