Five things to watch in the ACC Tournament

The Clemson Tigers won 75-61 to advance to the second-round of the 2017 ACC Tournament. The Hurricanes had a four-game winning streak versus Georgia Tech, Clemson, Virginia and Duke, but dropped games to Virginia Tech and Florida State in their last two.

Wake Forest should take care of business against BC, but it may get dicey for them if Virginia Tech does, in fact, knock them out. A victory for the Deamon Deacons was never in question and now the team sails into the second round of the ACC tournament bracket.

The top-seeded Blue Devils crushed second-seeded Wake Forest 80-59 in a men's basketball title game that wasn't as close as the score might indicate.

Virginia Tech, however, should find themselves in the national tournament as long as they take care of Tuesday's Wake Forest/Boston College victor. The game will receive a national television audience on ESPNU. Game 4 victor - 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the game will tip off at 7:30 p.m.

Enough with the small conferences, it is time for the big boys to come out and play.

If the Tar Heels get past the quarterfinal against either of these teams, they could potentially be playing Duke for the third time this season or a Louisville squad who is looking for vengeance after a loss late in the regular season. The Orange grabbed victories over Duke, Virginia, and Florida State.
