Planned Parenthood Rejects Trump Compromise on Funding: Abortion 'Vital to Our Mission'

Many providers at the other federally funded women's health clinics that Trump, House Speaker Paul Ryan, and other GOP members of Congress say Planned Parenthood's money should be reallocated to, have said that they would not be able to absorb Planned Parenthood's low-income patients.

"I think we have an obligation to support women's health and if the federal government deems they don't want to, we as a state should pick it up", she said. The bill "defunds" Planned Parenthood, one of the leading providers of affordable contraception in the nation, by preventing Medicaid from reimbursing Planned Parenthood for its health and family planning services to poor women.

But no federal money is spent on abortion services, which only take up 3 per cent of Planned Parenthood's total budget, and the health service was quick to condemn the informal offer as a thinly veiled threat.

"Planned Parenthood has always stood strong against these attacks on our patients and their ability to access the full range of reproductive health care", Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards said in a statement.

Even if all 13.5 percent of persons living in poverty exist in the remaining pool of eligible donors, that still leaves 90,908,694 eligible donors-adults who live above the poverty line and didn't vote for Trump. A woman in poverty deserves access to reproductive care just as much as a wealthy woman who has health insurance through an employer.

Most expected this addition to the bill, especially because the White House went on-record earlier this week urging Planned Parenthood to stop performing abortions or face an end to their federal funds.

How well do you know Dr. Seuss?
Seuss book that focused on sounds. "I would have never gone all those places without my college education and reading", he said. Known for including off-the-wall words - many not found in the dictionary - in his works, senior Jason Scales read a Dr.

It is important to note that due to the Hyde Amendment, no federal funds can be used to pay for abortions.

"Planned Parenthood performs over 300,000 abortions annually, but it has claimed that abortion is "only three percent" of its business", according to Life Site News.

In response, Planned Parenthood supporters across the country showed up at their local congressional representative's offices to voice their concerns.

"Maryland is on the wrong side of this issue in pursuing a bill that would continue to fund Planned Parenthood", Del. That's 30 percent of all abortions in America.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of the Washington, D.C. -based pro-life lobbying organization Susan B. Anthony List, told The Times that she has no opposition to the administration's reported proposal to Planned Parenthood. And they're lying, they're straight-up lying to American women about providing options, about providing pre-natal care, about providing mammograms, about providing other services and really they're coating, they're shielding their abortion corporation with their lies about these other services.

"I'm lucky to have Planned Parenthood here".
