Some big insurers dropped popular plans, leaving those seeking individual coverage fewer options.People in about a third of USA counties had to turn to a single insurer if they purchased coverage on health care exchanges set up under the Affordable Care Act. But there are two very big problems with it. It's a fair question.

A 62-year-old in San Francisco with an annual income of $40,000 now gets $9,500 in tax credits for health insurance. Both questions are relevant. Federal officials past year estimated 6.4 million people signed up through the ACA's insurance marketplaces, while the Kaiser Family Foundation estimated in January that its Medicaid expansion extended coverage to 10.7 million people.

"When I hear a lot of the discussions questioning 'Well why should I have to pay for maternity coverage if I never use it, ' those same types of questions could be posed in the context of public safety or national parks". His organization conducted an analysis of pediatric health care coverage and turned up several startling figures: Of the 4.5 million children in NY, 54 percent are covered by Medicaid or CHIP. The rift was on display last week, when a Senate leader said the legislation might not have the votes it needed in that chamber.

France, rated as the best health care system in the world, spends $3,300 per year per person. Most do not care about the politics; they care about the economics and access. The questions over personal responsibility versus a right or privilege are fair. A little over 154,000 joined in recent years after the state expanded eligibility under the ACA.
