Man Utd have new top target as De Gea exit fears mount

The newspaper says that United have been encouraged that a deal with the striker could be agreed following talks with intermediaries and with few clubs able to afford Griezmann's transfer fee, Old Trafford is the French international's most likely destination if he decides to leave Atletico.

De Gea, 26, still has two years left on his current deal, and United will take up the option of adding 12 months on top of that.

De Gea's situation is different, given that it is known he and girlfriend Edurne Garcia have long wanted to return to his home city, with United having sanctioned a sale in 2015 only for it to infamously fall down due to administrative issues at the last minute.
