"I'm not happy with just fighting for fourth, I want to fight for trophies", the Guardian quoted Mourinho as saying.

Ibrahimovic opened the scoring with his 28th goal of the season by arrowing home a brilliant strike and the Swede later set up Marcus Rashford to cap a 3-0 Premier League victory.

Mourinho said: "After Liverpool and Manchester City's victories, if we didn't win today it's nearly mathematically impossible [to finish fourth]". I thought about a half time change but I thought was too harsh for him, I wanted him to play a little bit more.

"We have a great future ahead of us so it is important to listen to the coach's advice but also the critics".

Moyes on sending off: "Look, there was a couple of things that didn't go for us today - I'm not saying it would have made a massive difference because Manchester United had good control - but we were in the game and it was key we remained in it".

Mourinho's overall thoughts: "We got the three points and it was a solid performance against a team which is sad - that's normal - and when you play against a team that is sad, if you score before them the game is nearly over because it's hard to react". We played with one more for a long time.

The slowdown may already be happening, with the increase in employment in the latest period falling well short of forecasts.

"Most of the players at Manchester United are young - we are here to learn", the Ivorian worldwide told the Premier League, relayed by The Mirror. This kid was a very good player before his injury, he had a awful injury, something like what happened to Seamus Coleman and we all saw that. The first one is quite easy to defend; he controls and turns before a really good finish from distance, but you would hope we would be getting a block in. The Premier League we cannot win, but Europa League we can.

Mourinho did not stop there and further hailed the team's overall efforts, saying that United displayed a solid performance against a "sad" team.

"He has a problem with his hip", Mourinho told BBC Sport.

"He actually played him last week and he played quiet well but a young lad like that, he was an England left-back when he was a teenager". The game less means it's tougher.

"The game was good and we get 1-0 and they get the red card".
