IndyCar driver Sebastien Bourdais was removed from his auto and taken to the hospital following an incredibly violent crash on Saturday while attempting to qualify for next week's Indy 500. He's doing well already and once we get down to the nitty-gritty in qualifying, he's not going to have any issue with getting the vehicle on the limit and finding where he's comfortable.

"I know him from F1 time, and also yesterday we were talking in the casino, in the event, all together about the cars, about how he feels here, how fast he was on Friday", Alonso said.

With an Andretti Honda under him, Alonso should have a auto capable of challenging for pole or at least making it into the Fast Nine qualifying group at Indianapolis on Sunday. It flipped before coming to a stop in the back straightaway. "We've had some great performances already this season and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do next Sunday with the GEICO Honda".

Fernando Alonso has left Barcelona after his frustrating Spanish Grand Prix to fly to Indianapolis, where he will begin preparations for his debut in the Indy 500.

"This is the fourth season that I've had the privilege of having GEICO on my auto, and I couldn't be more pleased to have them step up as a primary partner for the biggest race of the season", said Bourdais, driver of the newly unveiled No. 18 GEICO machine.

Unnamed White House Official Says Trump Is 'Completely F-ed'
In a freaky twist today, Russian President Vladimir Putin offered to turn over to Congress records of Trump's discussions. Striking a defiant stance, he added: "You can't let the critics and the naysayers get in the way of your dreams".

"Hopefully everything is okay with him". Meanwhile, others in the rest of the IndyCar world have weighed in on Twitter. He just said at the time, that's the process of racing.

"We're getting the most out of our package", said Power.

"I think (it) was not perfectly OK in terms of balance, in terms of driving myself, that I keep learning on this format". I know Chevy is working really hard, and obviously you can see that our speeds are pretty good right now. The auto is quick.

"It's racing. You are always going to have ups and downs".

Providing the rain does hold off, speeds are expected to increase today ahead of the weekend's qualifying runs, as Indycar regulations allow for turbocharger boost to increase on Friday, equating to about 30 additional horsepower permitted through the completion of qualifying.
