A New York-based poet and former model, Allison sat in the courtroom day after day as Cosby was tried for allegedly drugging and molesting Andrea Constand in 2004 and as the jury struggled to reach a verdict.

More than 50 women claim Cosby sexually assaulted them in incidents dating back to the 1960s, when he emerged as a major comedy star.

The attempts to discredit accusers eventually led to lawsuits and countersuits from Cosby.

"We are confident that these proceedings have given a voice to the many victims who felt powerless and silenced", the statement reads.

Camille Cosby made no reference to her husband's admitted philandering or giving quaaludes to women.

Camile called Steele "heinously and exploitatively ambitious" and "unethical".

Cosby is charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault that could put him in prison for the rest of his life.

Constand's 2004 encounter with Cosby at his suburban Philadelphia estate was the only one to result in criminal charges. A subsequent investigation found insufficient evidence to pursue criminal charges against Cosby.

Allison doesn't think the mistrial is the win for Cosby that his spokesperson has declared it to be.

Dunham, who in 2014 wrote about a sexual assault committed against her, said Saturday that "Bill Cosby's trial is about much more than Bill Cosby", in a series of tweets.

Daily aspirin use may up risk of severe bleeding, death
The people aged over 75 are at higher risk of stomach bleed but the risk can be prevented by taking PPIs along with aspirin. The study involved 3,166 patients who had previously had a stroke or heart attack, most of whom were prescribed aspirin.

Prosecutors have reportedly expressed their intention to pursue a retrial in Constand's case. She said that the star brought her three blue pills, telling her they would help her relax and they were safe.

"She has shown such courage through this, and we are in awe of what she has done", Steele said. "We can never underestimate the blinding power of celebrity but justice will come", she said.

Constand alleges she then became incapacitated and was led to a couch, where Cosby is alleged to have fondled her breasts, put his hands inside her trousers, and penetrated her vagina with his fingers.

Duquesne University law professor Wes Oliver said that if Cosby had been convicted, those allegations could have compelled Judge Steven O'Neill to sentence him closer to 10 years.

There's no doubt he had sexual contact with Constand (Cosby contends it was consensual).

Prosecutors immediately said Saturday they will retry the case.

The judge pressured them to reach a decision by not allowing them to throw in the towel until 9:30pm.

In a written statement, Troiani thanked prosecutors for raising awareness "that one of the hallmarks of drug-related sexual assaults is the effect the drug has on the victim's memory and ability to recall, and were nonetheless willing to present this evidence to the jury".

Dickinson and her attorney Lisa Bloom sued Cosby for defamation in May 2015, saying Singer's comments hurt her professionally and personally.
