Michael Keaton stars in new Spider-Man: Homecoming Vulture vignette

He is the third actor to play Spider-Man after Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. He is now looking forward to his first solo movie "Spider-Man: Homecoming". As expected, they take the film to task on all of its problems, drawing the usual comparisons to Spider-Man 3 with references to too many villains, embarrassing moments and performances, and the blatant franchise buildup towards a Sinister Six spinoff that would never come to fruition.

Dating back to its comic-book beginnings, Spider-Man always pressed the notion of Peter Parker being someone to whom a younger audience could relate - a science nerd blessed with super powers thanks to a radioactive spider bite, but whose teenage life is also complicated by his dual identity. Yet just as the character's primary goal here is about proving himself, in terms of Marvel injecting a rejuvenating vitality into its wayward wall-crawler, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" clears that bar and then some.

What's more, Holland stated that Spider-Man could not be a part of the Venom standalone flick because of the fact that his character now exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7 and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., and more.

Marvel are taking Spider-Man right back to its roots, casting 21 year old Tom Holland as the teenage superhero.

Therefore, with the newest Spider-Man film due out in theaters this weekend, Screen Junkies has released its latest Honest Trailer for the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on its official YouTube page.
