"Here's the wonderful thing about the news media", the new communications director said. "What are you guys suggesting?" he asked.

But Scaramucci also said on "Fox News Sunday": "I'm in the Oval Office with the President last week, we're talking about that".

The challenges for Scaramucci's new role were evident in a series of interviews, where he discussed his plans for press strategy, but was beset by questions about the Russian Federation investigation and the president's Twitter feed.

Tapper subsequently challenged Scaramucci's statement, questioning the credibility of his source.

In a separate interview earlier on CNN's "State of the Union", Democratic Sen. He basically said, you know, this is, maybe they did it.

Trump appears to be trying to revive his organization in an attempt to break out of a prolonged funk that has to a great extent wasted the first six months of his term - a time when presidents are usually at the apex of their power.

Scaramucci also criticized Trump during the fall of 2015.

On CBS, Scaramucci said leakers were "going to get fired".

"There's obviously a communications problem", Scaramucci said.

Oher started the first thee games in 2016, but a concussion sustained in Week 3 caused him to miss the remainder of the season. Oher became a household name as he was the subject of the movie " The Blind Side ", with actress Sandra Bullock.

That appointment in itself has been ridiculed, because Scaramucci was a critic of Trump even after the mogul's campaign for the White House began.

"Let me tell you one of the things I really hate about Washington, we have this political purity test on policy". He added: "When I made the decision to take this job, my politics and my political ideas do not matter at all".

SCARAMUCCI: How about it was the president, Jake?

The Washington Post reported Thursday that Trump had asked his legal team about the pardoning authority, and whether he could use it on himself.

"Brushing off questions about his deletion of tweets expressing views at odds with the president and his publicly stated criticism of Trump in the Republican primaries, he told CBS's Face the Nation: "[Trump] is the commander-in-chief, the president of the United States.

"We're not researching the issue, because the issue of pardons is not on the table", Sekulow said.

Mr. Tapper also questioned Mr. Scarramucci about the president's tweet on Saturday regarding pardons, in which he wrote, "While all agree the U. S. President has the complete power to pardon, why think of that when only crime so far is LEAKS against us". The European Union sounded an alarm on Saturday about moves in the U.S. Congress to step up U.S. sanctions on Russian Federation, urging Washington to keep coordinating with its G7 partners and warning of unintended consequences.

President Trump's new message man is already eating his own words. On Saturday, House and Senate negotiators announced an agreement on the bill.
