Floyd Mayweather is 'scared' of fighting me - UFC champion

Malignaggi had been in McGregor's camp to help the UFC lightweight champion prepare for his August 26 fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., but he abruptly left after photos leaked of the Irishman knocking him down during a sparring session on August 1.

The former boxing champ sounded the warning when he hosted reporters at his Las Vegas boxing club, saying he would stop the explosive UFC champion at the T Mobile Arena, Mirror writes.

Malignaggi took to social media to vent his frustrations, claiming the video was misleading and only showed parts of the sparring session where McGregor had the upper hand.

Malignaggi also suggested the video was cut before the referee stated it was not a knockdown while admitting rounds 11 and 12 were not good for him. He was certainly badly concussed.

Floyd Mayweather has formally requested to wear 8oz gloves against Irishman Conor McGregor during their much-anticipated showdown in #Las Vegas later this month.

"He was flattened against the ropes; multiple times the ropes kept him on his feet". Straight after it we were anxious.

The poor quality video appears to show Malignaggi off balance and falling to the canvas but it is not clear if it was a punch or a slip.

Kenya election 2017: AU and Commonwealth say poll credible
Kerry says Kenya's leaders need to step up in the coming days and give people confidence amid fears of post-election violence. The opposition's claim led to sporadic outbreaks of violence.

"Sparring partners who were [staying] in the house with him were anxious about him".

Fans (and people who are just rubbernecking the drama) might be more likely to watch the fight if they think McGregor actually stands a chance against one of the greatest boxers of all time.

Malignaggi was fuming that McGregor's camp labelled the moment a "knockdown", claiming it wasn't aything more than a stumble and shove from McGregor.

"I don't know what happened". Of his 21 MMA wins, 18 of them have come by knockout or TKO for McGregor.

"He knows there's no racism from me", said McGregor through gritted teeth.

"And then the poor guy that's in there with me has to deal with it, and then he's unconscious and it's on to the next one".
