McMaster Dodges Questions About Working With Bannon

"It's a privilege every day to enable the national security team".

"I think there are elements inside of Washington, also inclusive in the White House, that are not necessarily abetting the president's interests or his agenda", he added. "If the president really wants to execute that legislative agenda that I think is so promising for the American people".

"I think the president knows what he's going to do with Steve Bannon".

US President Donald Trump failed to condemn "domestic terrorism" in the deadly aftermath of a white nationalist protest in Charlottesville, Virginia, says former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.

He did not elaborate on what "that sort of nonsense" was, either, on the back of Breitbart News declaring the Unite the Right rally a "dereliction of American values" and "a disgusting and unwelcome throwback to segregationist ideas and rhetoric at a time when patriotic conservatism is gaining ground" on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump, condemned the move in an obvious effort to confront criticism against his father.

He did reveal that he spoke with the President this past week. It is unclear which of these groups - perhaps all of them - Scaramucci believes to be "micro". But I think its important for the people around him, George, to give him direct advice. The former CEO of Breitbart News, Bannon is often credited with fanning Trump's pugilistic impulses, and boasted about his role in legitmising the alt-right.

The Wall Street financier criticised the influence of Mr Bannon and the right-wing Breitbart News website that he was the driving force behind.

"You didn't answer. Can you and Steve Bannon work in that same White House?"

The controversial ex-White House figure asserted Sunday that he "wouldn't have recommended that statement".

Another round of storms this afternoon/tonight, severe weather possible
It won't be as high as it was through many days this past week, but definitely back up to about 40 or 50 percent coverage. So the forecast for much of next work week will be unsettled with lots of clouds along with shower and storm chances.

"This has been one of the most forward-thinking, socially progressive societies in the world, and it is a beacon of hope for the rest of mankind".

"Do you believe Steve Bannon does that?"

On ABC, Scaramucci said he had talked to Trump in the past week and hinted ominously at Bannon's future.

On a separate livestream later, Scaramucci said he didn't know whether Bannon was a white supremacist, but said that his embrace of white nationalists was "inexcusable".

Mr. Scaramucci again cited no examples of "toleration" of these ideas by Mr. Bannon. Maybe Jared would do that.

Scaramucci has been a vocal critic of Bannon and offered a cryptic response when asked if Bannon should go.

He continued: "The whole thing is nonsensical".

He added that it's not serving the President's interests to still have that wing around. "He's got to move more into the mainstream". And so if he does that, he'll have a very successful legislative agenda that he'll be able to execute. And if he doesn't do that, you're going to see this inertia and you're going to see this resistance from more of the establishment senators that he needs to curry favor with.

"He likes doing the opposite of what the media thinks he's going to do".
