According to the Washington Examiner, the belief of Ryan and other notable GOP leaders, tax reform is both a response to and the only solution to halt the divisions and put a smile on Trump's face, and in turn put an end to the daily controversies and criticisms between the White House and GOP lawmakers.

Ryan said Thursday that Congress will blow past the September 30 deadline for approving new funding for 2018, saying the government will need to operate off stop-gap spending for several months.

Mr. Ryan said congressional Republicans and Mr. Trump are on the same page on the big issues, including tax reform.

Ryan said he has spoken with Trump about the fall agenda and the timeline.

The Daily Herald reports ( http://bit.ly/2xgli29 ) Ryan on Thursday saw the 767, 777 and 787 production lines before sitting down with Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenberg for a 45-minute town hall attended by about 80 employees.

Ryan and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) are visiting some of the country's major corporate hubs this week to discuss the GOP's plan to significantly lower the corporate tax rate and simplify the tax code for average Americans.

"There's no place for these white supremacists, these white nationalists, these neo-natzis, and if we try to descend this issue down to a partisan fight, a political fight, we are demeaning the important point that needs to be made here which is every single one of us needs to stand up against this terrible, disgusting stuff that has no place in our society", Ryan said.

Ryan praised the investments made by Intel in capital equipment and research and development - $22.7 billion annually, he said - and voiced hope of creating more successful companies like Intel.

"Unify between the House, Senate and the White House first", Ryan said. The speaker met with Intel employees in OR on Wednesday.

"I'm not going to get into differences on that, only to say that we recognize, acknowledge and believe you need to maintain the mortgage interest deduction, whether it can be improved in how it works - that's the discussion we'll have in an ongoing basis", Ryan said. The speaker began his tour with a closeup of Intel's autonomous vehicle and was briefed on drone technology.
