Samsung Galaxy J7+ with Dual rear cameras announced in Thailand

The rear cameras are the highlight of the device. The mid-range smartphone is housed with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 clocked at 2.4 GHz and paired with RAM of 4 GB and a native storage of 32 GB. It will also reportedly come with 2 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 16 GB of storage that can be expanded with a microSD card. The J7+ is the successor to the J7 and J7 Pro and thus, bears some of their traits as well.

In terms of optics, the smartphone features a dual-camera setup at the back. The front shooter is of 16MP potential having an aperture of f/1.9 lens, created for ideal selfies.

Coming to the camera set-up, the Galaxy J7+ see a major improvement on the optical front. Talking about its software front, the Galaxy J7+ runs on Google's Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with company's TouchWiz custom UI skin running on top. It is the second mobile phone with dual camera setup by Samsung. While the secondary camera is a 5MP lens which captures depth information. Since the company has equipped the phone with an AMOLED display, it can pull off some neat software tricks such as always-on display among others.


The device packs a 3,000 mAh battery, a combined fingerprint scanner/home button below the screen, and ships with Bixby on board, which made its debut on the Galaxy S8 series.

The dual cameras are vertically placed on the back and are expected to be a combination of a 13 megapixel and 5 megapixel.

As of now, there is no word from the company about the Samsung Galaxy J7 Plus launch in India. Even the Samsung Galaxy J7+ does offer similar features at an affordable price tag. The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery with TurboPower support.
