Google Assistant to be offered on more newer speakers and electronic appliances

At IFA, Google has announced that the Zolo Mojo by Anker, TicHome Mini by Mobvoi, and the GA10 by Panasonic will be the first three 3rd party speakers powered by the Google Assistant.

At the event that happened in Berlin at Internationale Funkausstellung; Google has announced that the digital assistant will now be available for many new home appliances and smart speakers. As of Friday 25 August, Apple users in the UK, Germany and France can install Google's answer to Siri for free. In other words you talk to Google Home or your smartphone or an equivalent device, rather than directly to the dishwasher. SmartThinQ Hub plays a central role in LG's smart home platform by collecting information from smart appliances as well as conventional devices connected to SmartThinQ sensors via Wi-Fi, Zigbee and Bluetooth.

Amazon opened up Alexa to third-party developers a year ago, resulting in a series of products powered by the retailer's digital assistant. The idea of controlling appliances with a voice assistant isn't new, but it's starting to become more popular.
