South Korea will deploy four additional missile defense system

North Korea, meanwhile, has not ceased its daily threats to attack the United States and South Korea.

Earlier in the day, Seoul announced the deployment of four additional US THAAD missile systems in North Gyeongsang Province following the recent nuclear test by Pyongyang.

The White House on Wednesday released details of calls Tuesday with British Prime Minister Theresa May and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

The United States is considering, in addition to other options, stopping all trade with any country doing business with North Korea. He and May agreed to continue work on "increasing diplomatic and economic pressure on North Korea".

South Koreans have taken to the streets in recent months to protest the missile defense system, anxious by the escalation of the current crisis on the Korean peninsula.

The deployment of THAAD was agreed upon between the USA and South Korea past year, but has been delayed due to environmental impact assessments and diplomatic issues.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said Wednesday that China remains strongly opposed to it.

The Ministry of Environment on Monday cleared the way for the USA military to complete the deployment, announcing that its summary study found no safety problems.

China strongly objects to the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, saying its powerful radar can probe deep into its territory, undermining its security.

South Korea's defense ministry said the four remaining batteries of the THAAD system would be deployed on a golf course in the south of the country today.

The missile defense system will be deployed already tomorrow on a new basis in Seongju 300 kilometers from Seoul together with the construction technique and all related materials.
