Engine and power auto of Rajdhani Express derail near Shivaji Bridge, Delhi

The engine and power auto of the Rajdhani Express got derailed at the Shivaji Bridge near New Delhi on Thursday. According to Northern Railway spokesperson Neeraj Sharma, the derailment of the Rajdhani Express that was approaching national capital took place at 11.45 am today.

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has sacrificed his Ministry to Piyush Goyal owing responsibility to trains derailments in his regime.

Two coaches of the goods train came off tracks near Khandala. No injuries were reported in this derailment. Earlier today, Rajdhani Express derailed in Delhi and Shaktipunj Express derailed in Uttar Pradesh (UP). As all the passengers of both the trains are safe, New Railway Minister must have felt a sigh of relief.

Earlier, at around 6.25 AM on Thursday morning, seven coaches of the Howrah-Jabalpur Shaktipunj Express had derailed in Uttar Pradesh's Sonbhadra district.

As per the reports, the situation is being assessed by Railways officials and senior authorities are rushing to the spot.

On August 19, 22 people had been killed and over 150 injured when 13 coaches of the Kalinga-Utkal Express derailed near Muzaffarnagar in UP.

Days after the mishap, at least 100 people were injured after several compartments of the Delhi-bound Kaifiyat Kexpress derailed in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh.
