The OG "American Idol" victor dropped two new singles - "Love So Soft" and "Move You" - on Thursday, along with a music video for the former.

"THIS is the album I've always wanted to make", Clarkson wrote alongside the cover art for her new album on social media. The tune is noticeably more soulful, but if the lyrics don't get you ("Love so soft, you ain't had nothing softer / Break it then you buy it / And it sure gonna cost ya"), the visuals sure will.

However, not only will Clarkson not join stars like Katy Perry in the "Idol" revival, but she's joining the show's direct competition, NBC's "The Voice".

Kelly Clarkson is back with a brand new single called "Love So Soft" that showcases the American Idol alum's powerful vocals. "This isn't a record I could have made at the age of 20".

The Meaning Of Life will be Kelly's first album with Atlantic Records, after she signed a new deal past year.

The Meaning of Life is due out in October. The album sees Kelly working with past collaborators including Jason Halbert, Jesse Shatkin and Greg Kurstin, in addition to first time collaborators such as Mick Schultz, and The Monarch.

Thankfully our spirit animal, Kelly Clarkson, is here to keep us grounded with not one, but two new song. Singing of wanting to get closer to a man, Clarkson says that she needs to know if he'll respect her and protect her if she lets him in. Excited for her new album?

Clarkson announced that her eighth (yes, eighth) studio album, Meaning of Life, is officially available for pre-order.
