Patty Jenkins to Direct 'Wonder Woman' Sequel

Pictures has roped in director Patty Jenkins to helm the sequel to "Wonder Woman", a source close to production confirms to CNN. As news reports came in that Jenkins was working on a Wonder Woman 2 script with DC Films co-head Geoff Johns (teasing a 1980s Cold War-era setting), the only thing that wasn't confirmed was Jenkins' participation behind the camera.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jenkins has signed a high seven-figure deal to both write a direct the movie. The studio declined comment on Jenkins' pay. "The contract makes Patty Jenkins the highest paid female director in history".

In the bloopers, Gal can be seen dropping her ice cream, bumping into Pine several times and making silly faces with Jenkins between cuts. With the film slated to release in 2019, it's clear that the team is ready to start production.

Wonder Woman 2 is set to hit theaters on December 13, 2019.
