Well, it didn't take long for the Philadelphia Eagles to find a new kicker after Caleb Sturgis injured his hip in their 30-17 win over the Washington Redskins last Sunday. Rapoport puts Cincinnati Bengals practice squad kicker Jake Elliott on the prospective list, which is not yet known. Elliott lost a competition to Randy Bullock for the Bengals starting job. "He could then rejoin the active roster during the bye week for the final seven games of the regular season", David George said in his piece on the Eagles' official website.

Elliott was drafted before the Eagles selected wide receiver Shelton Gibson and linebacker Nate Gerry.

During the Eagles' Week 1 win, Sturgis reportedly suffered a quad strain in his plant leg and is expected to miss "several weeks".

Steve Smith who claims to have followed the entire India and Sri Lanka series is very confident for the India-Australia face-off. Chahal has been playing under Virat Kohli for a while in the IPL and has been Kohli's go to bowler in the tournament.

Sturgis, 28, will be eligible to return after eight weeks, when the Eagles play at Dallas on November 19. He attended Memphis where he connected on 81-of-104 field goal attempts as well as 202 consecutive PATs. The veteran in his fifth National Football League season hooked his second PAT but kicked three field goals.

Sturgis was placed on injured reserve, where he has to remain for at least eight weeks.

The Eagles visit Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium with kick-off set for 1pm.
