Moody's: Qatar crisis a negative for all countries involved

The ongoing Gulf Crisis between Saudi Arabia (KSA), the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, non-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country Egypt, and Qatar continues with KSA attempting to once again smear Qatar with a false media report on the 16th anniversary of the Twin Tower attacks.

Businessman said the national products are very competitive and of high quality that match worldwide standards.

Sheikh Ouda, in his last twitter post, had welcomed on Friday suggesting that three month old row between Qatar and four Arab countries led by Saudi Arabia may be resolved.

"Personally I will not buy products from the boycott countries again", he said, pointing out that the products imported from Kuwait, Oman and Turkey are preferred due to their quality and competitive prices.

"Everyone knows the reality of the destructive Iranian role toward the Arab states, especially the Gulf states, with its interference in internal affairs and destabilizing and undermining the security of the GCC states", he said.

Diplomats from Qatar and the four states blockading the Gulf nation have exchanged heated words at an Arab League meeting in Cairo.

Doha's decision to resume diplomatic ties with Tehran comes amid a diplomatic rift between Qatar and several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain. It has also allowed Qatar's national carrier to use its airspace.

However, Saudi Arabia subsequently accused Qatar of distorting facts about the call, and said it was ending talks.

He went on to say that the boycotting countries refused to actively interact with the efforts of Doha to settle the dispute and described Iran as an "honorable country", a description which received a severe backlash later on in the session.

In response, Qattan said: "Congratulations to Iran and soon, God willing, you will regret it".

The Arab coalition demands that Qatar cut its ties with Iran, end financial support for Islamic extremist groups, and shut down the Qatar-based broadcaster Al-Jazeera.

HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, who headed the Qatari delegation to the meeting, condemned the attack on the Egyptian police in North Sinai, reiterating Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons, and expressed Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims and the Egyptian people.

In August, Turkey and Qatar carried out a joint military exercise called "Iron Shield", which included training of leaders to assess and control the situation on the ground, as well as strengthening coordination between the two sides.

Ankara, which has a military in Qatar, has signaled support for Doha in the diplomatic spat.
