The terrorists first attacked a bullet-proof bunker of the police at Botengoo, a police official said, adding it was retaliated. "This Operation is a result of people's prayers". The other terrorist killed in this encounter was Abu Qasim alias Chotta Qasim. "During the searches, the militants were fired upon and killed", said a senior police official. "He ( Abu Ismail ) was also trying to help and revive the nearly defunct Jaish-e-Muhammad in the Kashmir Valley, and himself participated in many attacks in South Kashmir", he said. Meanwhile, the mobile internet services have been blocked in Srinagar, as per ANI.

Khan also said that militant leadership has to be eliminated because they also misguide children and lure them into this. The other slain terrorist has been identified as Chota Qasim. "It is, therefore, important to kill the militant leadership".

Considering it to be a huge achievement, the police said that acting on a specific intelligence input, the security forces comprising the Army, CRPF and the SOG of the state police cordoned off the area where Ismail was hiding along with his accomplice. We killed Abu Qasim, Abu Dujana and now Abu Ismail.

"It was a very brief and crisp encounter", said Munir Khan, the Kashmir police chief.
