Real Madrid's attacking midfielder Isco Alarcon on Friday said he never thought about moving to Catalan football giants FC Barcelona.

He is expected to feature in Sunday's La Liga match against Real Sociedad and the 25-year-old will once again be expected to play a huge role this year. And in February, Isco himself admitted that he could consider leaving Los Blancos if the situation remained unchanged.

It has emerged that Isco was a target of Barcelona's this summer.

Isco's previous deal was set to run out at the end of this season, but the Spanish international's extension will end any rumours of a possible summer move. The Spaniard has signed a new contract until 2022 and Real Madrid have included a € 700 million release clause in his contract.

The Spanish worldwide managed to turn around his situation at Real during the second part of last season and in August AS reported that the player had made a decision to agree a new long-term deal worth €6m-a-year (£5.5m, £7.2m) and with a €700m release clause.

Jose will track between Bermuda and the east coast of the United States into next week, generating risky seas in the process. Hurricane Jose could whip up potentially risky surf conditions and exacerbate beach erosion from Hurricane Irma.

Bale, who joined Real for a then-world-record fee in 2013 from Tottenham, impressed in his first few seasons in La Liga.

United manager Jose Mourinho revealed this summer that the English club is willing to sign Bale but the Spanish outfit declined any deal.

"Never [could I move to Barcelona], as I've always said, my idea was to succeed in Madrid". I've had bad times but that makes me savour the good moments. "I want to consolidate myself as a starter, and win many titles that with the team we have is very likely".

"Some say the left wing is where he should play, but before his injury, he was Real's best player and he was mostly affecting the game through the centre, as a 10 or as a striker".
