The immaculate White House Kitchen Garden - which can be seen through the gates to the White House South Lawn - was established in 2009 by Michelle Obama as part of her work fighting childhood obesity.

She regularly held events in the garden and wrote her first book, "American Grown", about her experience of planting it.

She has also shown her willingness to get down to work on multiple occasions, most recently in an event with children of Washington's Boys and Girls Club. "I would certainly not read anything into that picture anymore than probably, just like the rest of us, we're exhausted trying to keep up with this president who's working hard every day trying to help America", she said.

"We must teach each child the values of empathy, communication - a core of mindfulness, integrity and leadership, which can only be taught by example", Trump said. They'll be planting cabbage, cauliflower, turnips, carrots, kale, spinach and lettuce.

They each left with a small bottle of White House honey - yes, the executive beehive is still in operation.

Melania Trump's communications director slammed the coverage of her shoes at the time, saying, "It's sad that we have an active and ongoing natural disaster in Texas, and people are anxious about her shoes".
