Renate Langer, 61, a German former actress, told Swiss police that the "Chinatown" filmmaker raped her at his mountain chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland, when she was 15 years old, according to the Associated Press.

The alleged assault in February 1972 is the latest in a string of similar allegations made by four different women against 84-year-old Mr Polanski, who is now married with two children. It's the fourth time that a woman has publicly accused Polanski of sexual assault, the first being Samantha Geimer. Finally, a third woman, identified as " Robin ", was accused in August the director of sexual assault when she was just 16 years old, in 1973.

Former German actress Renata Langer accused Roman Polanski of raping her almost half a century ago. Robin said she has no plans to sue the award-winner but wants to see him face justice.

In addition to these allegations, British actress Charlotte Lewis said in 2010 that Polanski sexually assaulted her in 1983 when she was a teenager, a claim Polanski's lawyers had rejected as a lie.

In addition to Langer and Samantha Geimer, two other women-British actress Charlotte Lewis and a woman who identified herself exclusively as Robin M. -have alleged that Polanski sexually assaulted them when they were 13 and 16 years old, respectively. Mr Polanski's lawyer Jan Olszewski said: "In my opinion, the situation is so absurd that it is hard to even comment on it".
