The company has announced a new Arcade Edition of the game, which is set to launch for PlayStation 4 and PC on January 16, 2018 for $39.99.

Nearly two years since it was first released Street Fighter V is finally getting an arcade mode, along with new V-triggers and visuals. Introducing a new V-Trigger (which is basically a super-powered move) could significantly change Street Fighter V's playstyle. Over time, Capcom has added everything from new characters to a comprehensive story mode to the game.

Perhaps the greatest news out of all of this is the fact that Arcade Mode will be a free update for anyone who already owns Street Fighter V.

According to the product page, this release will include an Arcade mode, a Gallery with sketches and artwork, redesigned graphical interface, and small technical improvements, while it is unclear whether new fighters will be present or not. This version of the game will also feature a new Extra Battle Mode that will allow you to participate in challenges that will reward you with new costumes, especially if you win four challenges per month.

Some of the accused said they did not believe the court could deliver a fair verdict and had been under political pressure. Akar arrived in Tehran on Sunday on an invitation from the Iranian chief of staff.

What's also intriguing about the Extra Battle description is the mention that players will "use their Fight Money for the chance to receive an exclusive premium outfit each month".

Amazon list the release date as January 16, which is specific enough to not seem like a placeholder.

Capcom announced that the initial version of the game will be the only one players need to purchase.

In order to celebrate the announcement of the Arcade Edition, a brand new trailer was also released, which shows off gameplay from the upcoming upgrade. These will still only be unlockable through in-game means for current players.
