Check Out the Trailer for the 11th Season of The X-Files

And if this new prompt for "The X-Files" Season 11 is any indication, the show looks to be back to form.

Intriguing images to be sure.

The first footage of the rebooted The X-Files (the first revival season premiered last year) screened at New York Comic-Con this weekend, and it teases a conclusion to the decades-long conspiracy that David Duchovny's Fox Mulder and Gillian Anderson's Dana Scully have been caught up in, as well as the culmination of the decades-long relationship between the two lovelorn Federal Bureau of Investigation agents.

The trailer debuted at this year's New York Comic Con.

"The truth still lies in the X-Files, Mulder", Scully tells her partner in the trailer. She'll play four characters, two of them men, in episode three of the new season. The tenth season ran for six episodes, but season 11 has been extended to 10 episodes. The clip promises storytelling on an epic scale as the show wraps up loose ends related to William, Mulder and Scully's mysterious son. Creator #Chris Carter has just revealed that Fox Mulder and Dana Scully will experience a "reset" when the show premieres next year. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are back in business as Mulder and Scully, and we finally have a look at what's in store for our favorite paranormal-investigating FBI agents when The X-Files makes its way back to the small screen.

And she confessed she hadn't planned to return for an 11th season, adding, "I thought I was done". "You know, there's always been this "maybe one more" thing hanging over, but when the door is finally shut, call me up and ask me that question again". "I think it's done really well, and you guys are going to be very, very happy with it". All Carter would say was "Langley is in the show this season". Yep, X-Philes get ready to rejoice, because we now have an official trailer for X-Files season 11! He confirmed that no one from the X-Files had contacted him about returning, though.
