He has posted back-to-back seasons with more than 1,000 yards receiving.

The #Philadelphia Eagles decided they couldn't sit back and watch all of the trade deadline fun happen without them, so they chose to swing a deal with their frequent trade partner, the Miami Dolphins, for running back #Jay Ajayi.

Instead, Miami's offense has been bad this season, and the Dolphins are changing their approach. "I have been smiling ear to ear since the news broke", said Ike Reese, former Eagles linebacker and the drive-time host on SportsRadio WIP in Philadelphia.

His 200-yard games earned him three AFC Offensive Player of the Week awards and he was named Miami's 2016 Dan Marino Most Valuable Player. Dolphins running backs also have been responsible for allowing at least four sacks this year, according to the Miami Herald.

But this season, Ajayi, a native of London, has managed just 465 yards on 138 rushes and no TDs.

First Flu Death Of Season Reported
Colds, the CDC says, generally don't lead to serious complications or hospital stays, but the flu can if left untreated. Washington had 278 confirmed flu deaths in the past year, and Throne says 6 of those were children.

The Eagles had shown interest in running backs to help with their pass blocking, and reportedly reached out to the Colts regarding veteran Frank Gore on Monday before making a deal for Ajayi.

The Philadelphia Eagles are going all in this season, and it is a refreshing change for the franchise.

The addition of Ajayi could be huge as they kick off the second half of the season at 7-1. Ajayi is a 24-year-old running back with still a year left on his contract.

As the trade deadline approaches on Tuesday, the Eagles will be expected to make more moves.
