We're joined by Chris Gahl of "Visit Indy" to talk about the major announcement and how Indy snagged the big event.

Indiana Sports Corp said in a release that they believe the national championship game will generate more than $150 million for the Indianapolis region.

Indianapolis hosted Super Bowl 46 in 2012.

Brock Osweiler will reportedly start for Broncos against Eagles
Joseph said he didn't consider going to backup Brock Osweiler at halftime, insisting Siemian had earned the right to run the show. He has thrown three touchdown passes, two of them in garbage time, and eight interceptions while also taking 19 sacks.

This won't be the first time a college title game has taken place in L.A. The former Bowl Championship Series system held championships at the Rose Bowl four times from 2002 through 2014.

"We're delighted that we're able to complete our goal of 10 in 10", College Football Playoff Executive Director Bill Hancock says.

"We just kept asking ourselves, 'Why not go north?'" Hancock says. "We are excited to add the College Football Playoff National Championship to the roster of premier events at our stadium including the Super Bowl and the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the 2028 Olympics".

Miami-South Florida will host in 2021, Indianapolis in 2022 and Houston in 2024.

Upcoming title game sites include Atlanta (2018), Santa Clara, Calif. (2019) and New Orleans (2020). "Each has a first-class stadium that our fans will enjoy, a great convention center, excellent hotels for teams and fans, and the communities have successful track records of hosting major events". "We have done that". The Orange Bowl functioned as a semifinal for the College Football Playoff after the 2015 season and hosted the BCS national championship game in which Alabama routed Notre Dame for the 2012 title.
