Super Mario Odyssey: Where To Find Every Warp Painting

It took about a month for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to accomplish that same feat, so that's super impressive. Well, it seems that Nintendo has managed to move quite the number of units regarding Super Mario Odyssey, wherein the latest financial briefing reveals over 2 Million copies have been purchased within three day's time.

The latest Super Mario game, which released exclusively for Nintendo Switch on October 27, has done rather well for itself. And with the holiday season fast approaching, Nintendo is set to sell a whole bunch more.

Nintendo hopes that Super Mario Run will eventually become the "definitive Mario application for smart devices", pointing out its push with the 3.0 update that added a new character, stages, and other additional content in a bid to bring players back to the game.

Though Super Mario Odyssey has already received its fair share of flawless scores, Nintendo took a slight risk with the latest title in its flagship franchise. This newest title in the Super Mario series received many awards this year at the largest game shows in Western markets, such as E3 and Gamescom, and consumers had high expectations leading to its release.

But the games are selling well, too.

Considering that a huge number of mobile games are now free-to-play, it's easy to see why having an obvious up-front cost would make a game less popular than freebie alternatives. Super Mario Odyssey now enjoys a 97 professional rating and 8.9 user score on Metacritic, a popular reviews aggregate site. Nintendo, earlier this week, reported its financial numbers raising its goal of Switch sales to 14 million from 10 million for the first year. Looking ahead, several upcoming games will strengthen the Switch's lineup, including Doom, Skyrim, and several Resident Evil titles, to name just a few.
