Work hard or sit in the stands - Antonio Conte tells David Luiz

Luiz, who knows Matic well from their time together at Chelsea and Benfica, hopes that he can keep both the Serbian midfielder and another former teammate in Romelu Lukaku quiet at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon. Maybe in the future I can decide in a different way, or continue in this way. I have these players and then I repeat I have to make the best decision for the team.

The Chelsea boss has refuted those claims though, as he has confirmed that it was only a tactical decision. It's normal. This can happen to every one of my players, if I see that they are not in good form.

' I played a training match this week and there was a sign that I would start, and it was confirmed last Friday, so I had a long time to prepare'. "I have to make the best decision for the team".

Furthermore, Conte was asked how Luiz's place in the team had done a total 180.

"(Leaving out Luiz) could have easily backfired - they're big calls for managers - but I think he's [Conte] won that one today. I was very happy for this.

Zionists feel it is the foundation for modern Israel while non-Jewish Palestinians and Arabs speak of loss and dispossession. Palestinians have argued that Israel, through the declaration and its British backers, is a colonial enterprise.

Luiz's Brazilian teammate Kenedy was subsequently left out of the squad to face United after being caught yawning during the meeting.

Andreas Christensen took his place in his three-man defence alongside Cesar Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill, with 17-year-old Ethan Ampadu making the bench.

The Spaniard is now on seven Premier League goals for the season, after joining from Real Madrid in the summer.

Pressed by BBC about whether Luiz has a future at Chelsea, Conte added, "He has to work really hard, otherwise he is on the bench or in the stands".

Wilkins, who also represented Manchester United during his playing career, believes Luiz would be better employed as a midfielder but feels he is too much of a liability at the back.
