Republican Senate hopeful Roy Moore accused of abusing teenage girls

Two of the women spoke of Moore giving them glasses of wine when they were under the legal drinking age of 19.

The woman, Leigh Corfman, now 53, told the Post that Moore took off her "shirt and trousers and removed his clothes", touched her "over her bra and underpants" and "guided her hand to touch him over his underwear".

The four women were interviewed on the record by The Washington Post, alleging a range of incidents while Moore was working as an assistant district attorney in Alabama. "They are wrong and of Satan", Moore said, according to Borden's account.

Moore, 70, denies the allegations.

Moore, a right-wing culture warrior who's based much of his political career on his role as a moral crusader, has denied the allegations, calling the report "the very definition of fake news and intentional defamation".

Moore's campaign sent a similar statement to Breitbart, the conservative news website, shortly before the Post published its piece. According to Ziegler, in Alabama, sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl is "nothing immoral or illegal", but "maybe just a little bit unusual".

People will obviously draw their own conclusions about the reporting, but I want to emphasize that the Washington Post's article is worth your time.

"I wanted it over with - I wanted out", she told the newspaper. "And it kind of set the course for me doing other things that were bad".

The Huffington Post reports that even if Moore withdraws, he can not be easily replaced on the ballot, perhaps ensuring that the seat will fall to the Democratic challenger Doug Jones in the December 12 election.

Immediately following the report, multiple GOP senators called on Moore to step down from his run in Alabama's special election to fill Jeff Sessions' seat if the allegations were proven true.

The 47-year-old former model met giant panda Gu Gu on her trip and got to learn about his nutrition and training. On Friday, Melania will visit the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Events are now accelerating as events like these will. Mitch McConnell has called on Moore to drop out of the race if the allegations are true.

Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., echoed that.

And Moore, a former Alabama chief justice and candidate for the U.S. Senate, allegedly pursued sexual encounters with teenage girls.

Borden's attorneys brought the case to the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, accusing Moore of showing personal bias and prejudice against Borden. Officials had been trying to consolidate support behind Moore, and the campaign announced several endorsements in the last few weeks.

Pollak said of the claim that Moore engaged in sexual activity with a 14-year-old: "If that turns out to be true, then he's really got some serious problems and I think that we need to drill down and find out what that is".

"I will hold judgment until we know the facts", the statement said.

Truth is, this news won't make one bit of difference with Alabama voters.

Republican state Sen. Dick Brewbaker questioned the timing of the story. "You'd have to paint her as a Trump supporter to be of any credibility", Blocker said. "I'm not saying anyone's a liar, but it's very hard to make any kind of evaluation on it".

How that happens remained unclear. Secretary of State John Merrill said Thursday that ballots have already been printed.
