Jude Law Heads For Captain Marvel

Details of his role are practically non-existent - ditto for Mendelsohn, though there are signs to suggest he'll be spearheading the Skrulls come 2019 - but Variety notes that Jude Law's potential character is best described as a mentor to the up-and-coming Carol Danvers.

Though his casting hasn't officially been confirmed by Marvel after Variety's story, Law will be playing Doctor Walter Lawson, AKA Mar-Vell, who ends up becoming Danvers' mentor as she figures out her abilities.

The film will be set in the 1990s with Samuel L. Jackson expected to reprise his role as Nick Fury.

President Trump on Roy Moore: 'He totally denies it'
The Republican National Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee have pulled their support for Moore's campaign. Trump dismissed questions from reporters about him backing a man accused of sexual assault over a man who is a Democrat.

Jude Law has seemingly taken to big blockbusters as of late. He'll also be seen in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, playing Young Dumbledore opposite Johnny Depp (ugh) as Young Grindelwald. He is also still attached to appear in a third Sherlock Holmes movie with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. Both of those films are set up at Warner Brothers.

Mississippi Grind's Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck will direct. Geneva Robertson-Dworet (upcoming Tomb Raider and Gotham City Sirens) wrote the most recent draft of the script. Writers Meg LeFauve (Inside Out) and Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) wrote the first draft of the feature. Let us know down below!

With the Kree-Skrull War coming to the MCU, it only makes sense for Mar-Vell to make his way to Earth to help stop the invasion in Captain Marvel.
