Selena Gomez received the Woman of the Year honour at Billboard's Women in Music Award 2017, which was presented to her by organ donor Francia Raisa and Elle Fanning.

That message of empowerment came before and after Greenwald's time on stage, and in different forms. Gomez is, of course, referring to the kidney Raisa gave her over the summer of 2017, which saved the singer from a life or death situation. And for that alone she deserves another award.

Trump not moving U.S. embassy to Jerusalem for now
Action on the Israel embassy issue is meant to show progress on a key Trump campaign promise and aim to energize the Trump base. Both Israelis and Palestinians claim Jerusalem as their capital.

Previously, during her cover interview for the company's magazine, Selena - who recently ended her relationship with fellow singer The Weeknd - admitted she had made a decision to let 23-year-old Justin back into her life as she had never stopped "caring" for the star. Blige also touched on her personal journey while accepting the Icon Award, highlighting the responsibility she feels to help people get through whatever situation they may be in: "I'm a fighter, I'm here, and I'm out here fighting for you".

Selena surprised many with the news of her transplant on September 14 by sharing a photograph of her and Francia in their hospital gowns holding hands to her 128 million Instagram followers. Selena's fans were quick to praise her emotional speech, with one writing: "Selena crying during her speech and saying Francia deserved it because she saved her life?" "It's a new goddamn day and I'm loving it", she said. Although, she did thank her friends and family for their support, and we can only assume those two would have been included in that bunch. Francia gushed to Billboard Online: "I'm really honoured to do this for her tonight". She continued, "Thank you for all of you who inspired so many girls who feel they don't have a voice".
