National Cookie Day 2017: Where to find free and cheap cookies today

Finally, Cinnabon is debuting its new Cookie BonBite, a bite-sized version of Cinnabon's cinnamon roll inside a chocolate chip cookie.

You can also check the websites and social media pages of local businesses to see what kinds of National Cookie Day deals they are offering. For the second year, the brand is warming spirits with a welcoming invite to guests and non-guests: stop by any DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in the USA from December 13 through December 24 and enjoy a complimentary warm DoubleTree Cookie for yourself - or save one for Santa.

To celebrate National Cookie Day, Whole Foods Market is having a 50 percent off sale on the cookie bar from December 1 to December 4.

The food holiday was also championed by Cookie Monster from Sesame Street.

National Cookie Day was first celebrated in 1987, so National Cookie Day 2017 celebrates the 40th anniversary of the event. While you probably don't need us to tell you to eat cookies twice - the picture above is worth a thousand words - we've gathered all of the places offering free cookies and other unbelievable deals today anyway. Free traditional cookie with any purchase made in the store. This offer seems to be getting a bit less traction than others, and there's no explicit cap on how many cookies will be given away, so it seems like a good bet.
