Romelu Lukaku 'rushed to defend Jose Mourinho in tunnel fracas'

Stage left we had Mourinho accusing Manchester City of a lack of class and respect in their exuberant celebrations following Sunday's derby that prompted him to stick his nose around their dressing room door and sparked the fracas between players and coaches.

It has been claimed milk and water were thrown at Mourinho after a reported confrontation with City goalkeeper Ederson, leading to an altercation involving up to 20 players and staff in the crowded corridor leading to the dressing rooms.

He said: "Bye. Bye".

Bournemouth arrive at Old Trafford having picked up just three points from their last four league games and they sit 14th in the table so Eddie Howe will be desperate for a positive result this evening.

The City players had been celebrating their well earned victory rather loudly, and the Portuguese boss took it upon himself to give them a reminder about respect.
