Square Enix has today announced that Life is unusual will finally be portable as it releases on iPhone and iPad from Thursday December 14.

Developer DONTNOD Entertainment announced the first three episodes of its critically acclaimed game series will be available to download via the App Store tomorrow, December 14. Following its original release in January 2015, Life Is Strange attracted rave reviews, with many citing the character development and use of time travel mechanics as its most positive aspects.

Life is odd came out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2015. The port's being handled by Black Wing Foundation and will feature full touch controls thanks to an "enhanced user interface" alongside social media features including, quite aptly, an all new photo mode. The game will seemingly be the same as the console/PC versions but will add the feature of iMessage stickers and the ability to share progress and compare story choices with Facebook friends. Max and Chloe soon begin to investigate the disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber.

Episode one of Life is unusual will be available to download from iTunes on December 14, priced at $3. Episodes 4 and 5 will follow in early 2018. "Meanwhile, Max must quickly learn that changing the past can sometimes lead to a devastating future".
