Week 17 Preview: Eagles vs Cowboys

The last time Beasley caught a touchdown pass was during a win over the Kansas City Chiefs back on November 5, when he snared two balls in the end zone. The last time they were shut out at home was in 2005 against the Seahawks. Meanwhile, Dallas played to win, its starters on the field for the entire game. After hopefully a few good drives, Foles and the Eagles first-team offense will take a back seat and the backups will get reps so they will be good to go if called upon in the postseason.

The Philadelphia Eagles secured home field advantage throughout the playoffs, but they don't seem to cause fear in potential opponents following a lackluster win in Week 16.

The Cowboys won and finished their season with a 9-7 record, which doesn't look bad, but they missed the playoffs and had an extremely disappointing season a year after they were the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Remarkably, it continued after the break, as this became the first time in Cowboys history that the team played to a scoreless tie through three quarters. It was 0-0 after 30 minutes. In the second quarter, Donnie trotted onto the field with his sweatpants on, stripped, then hit a 55-yard punt. After Sunday's game against the Cowboys, they will have more than enough time to get ready.

It was the first scoreless game at halftime in the entire National Football League since December 2011. They were unsuccessful on the extra point attempt leaving the game 6-0 in Dallas' favor. That's all they needed. Philadelphia's starting quarterback, Nick Foles, only saw action in the first quarter, but he completed 4 of 11 passes for 39 yards, an interception and a 9.3 passer rating. That game, was, in essence, a meaningless game and the Eagles beat Dallas, as many of their starters did not play much of the game. Douglas has played very well so far this season and should get a lot of playing time regardless. Well, everyone's favorite player this week on sports talk radio is going to be Nate Sudfeld, who clearly outplayed Foles, but was still unable to put any points on the board.

Week 17 Preview: Eagles vs Cowboys

For starters, quarterback Nick Foles didn't inspire any confidence for the postseason with his performance against the Raiders.

Foles threw an on-target, third-down pass on the first drive of the game, but wide receiver Torrey Smith dropped it. He played really well.

Defensive dud Rasul Douglas didn't have a great game (see rookie report).

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on November 19, 2017 in Arlington, Texas. He was beaten on a 20-yard slant for the touchdown.

Sunday marks the anniversary of the last time Jones played - in the Peach Bowl as a member of the Washington Huskies against Alabama.
