Withdraw board appointments with 8 dead persons, SERAP tells Buhari

Ex-aviation minister, Chief Olufemi Fani Kayode has attacked President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing a late Senator as the chairman of the Nigerian Press Council.

The founder of Fidei Polytechnic, Gboko, the first private polytechnic in Northern Nigeria was in April 2017.

Admitting that the country went through a lot of social and economic challenges in 2017, Ajimobi, however, assured that the novel programmes and policies of the Federal Government would bring the needed succour to the people in 2018.

One of the explanations for the names of the dead on the list is that it was compiled long ago.

The presidential spokesman said the president only made a decision to revisit the matter recently and therefore directed the new SGF to release the list. "Furthermore, the mix up in the list also exposes the corruption in the APC government", he said.

While calling on the new appointees to do Ekiti State proud in their various assignments, the party urged the President to consider Ekiti State for more appointments and also locate more employment-generating projects in the state.

"I can tell you that numerous initial names were also the same names forwarded by the governors except in few cases".
