After several days of intense and long negotiations, English Premier League's Everton signed a much expected deal for Turkish worldwide striker Cenk Tosun worth 36 million U.S dollars.

"I believe I can be a good player in the Premier League for Everton", said Tosun.

Tosun has stuck away 41 goals in 96 Super Lig appearances for Besiktas since the start of the 2014/15 season, which is more than any other player in the same period, with Sam Allardyce branding him "the best in Europe" at the sub-£30million price point.

"It feels great to be an Everton player", he told Everton's official website.

Tosun also underlined that he is looking forward to proving himself to Everton fans and showing them just what he is made of.

Everton coach Sam Allardyce praised Tosun for his "strong" mentality and "good pedigree".

"I bring my skills here and everybody is going to see what kind of player I am".

Tosun turned his back on the chance to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League Last 16 and lift the league title for a third successive season to make the Everton move. I'm really excited to play for Everton as soon as possible.

After signing the record deal, the English club also shared a short video of Everton's newcomer, captioning it with "It's done" and the Turkish national flag.

The Tottenham game will be the first game I am available for and I'm very excited about it already'. They can help me score goals. I hope they can make a lot of assists for me!

"There would have to be some exits, I don't think there is any doubt about that because we've got about 30 players", the manager said in the Liverpool Echo.

The Toffees have struggled with replacing Romelu Lukaku, who left Goodison Park to join Manchester United during the summer transfer window, with Rooney taking up most of the goalscoring responsibility. While three of Everton's other forwards are yet to hit the target.
