The US State Department on Wednesday issued new methodology for issuing global travel advisory with Afghanistan placed along with about a dozen countries not fit for travel, while Pakistan was ranked among countries where travelers were asked to reconsider their plans.

Countries have been issuing travel advisories for its citizens time and again, considering the present global scenario.

The U.S. Department of State warns there is always a risk with worldwide travel since the conditions in any country can change at any time. But overall, Mexico earns a Level 2 classification - "Exercise increased caution", although the State Department advisory says that "violent crime, such as homicide, kidnapping, carjacking, and robbery, is widespread". It assigns a level 3 rating ("reconsider travel") to states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Estado de Mexico, Jalisco, Morelos, Nayarit, Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosi, Sonora, Zacatecas.

Travellers should not visit countries in Level 4, mainly Middle East and African nations, due to greater likelihood of life-threatening risks, according to the US Department of State. Countries categorized under No. 4 advisories include Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq.

"We gave our embassies authority to provide their host governments with an advance of the final travel advisory for their country if they thought that was important to the host government", said Bernier-Toth on a conference call with reporters Wednesday, adding that "by and large, I think there have been no surprises".

As a whole, Mexico was rated at the second-lowest of four threat levels in the department's new travel advisory system rolled out last week.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Coming to Switch
On Nintendo Direct this morning, Nintendo announced that another game for Wii U will be taken to Nintendo Switch . Nintendo's Wii U was host to some damned good games - but the system was a bit of a failure.

"Reconsider travel to Pakistan due to terrorism". Acapulco, in Guerrero, is the murder capital of Mexico after a decrease in visitors seeking its expansive beaches and resort hotels, and the State Department specifically forbids travel there.

This is an improvement for Quintana Roo, as the State Department last summer issued a travel warning for the state due to "turf battles between criminal groups that have resulted in violent crime in areas frequented by USA citizens".

"Advisories are based on information from intelligence agencies, United States embassies and host countries' governments,"she added". Read the country's Travel Advisory for details.

The advisory also says that U.S. government employees travelling to states with Naxalite activity or the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Manipur must take special authorisation from USA consulate general offices. "It's our largest destination for US citizens traveling aboard".

In Kingston, the State Department said violence and shootings occur regularly and prohibited travel to downtown Kingston, which it defined as the areas between Mountain View Avenue and Hagley Park Road and south of Half Way Tree and Old Hope Roads. A new system unveiled yesterday scraps all that.
