You'd hardly think that losing players would be Arsene Wenger's priority in the transfer window right now but the Frenchman today lost Francis Coquelin to Valencia for £12 million. He didn't get enough games for us this season.

Thierry Henry looked absolutely stunned when informed of the news that Francis Coquelin is on the verge of completing a big-money move from Arsenal to Valencia.

In a statement on their official website, Valencia have revealed that the 26-year-old has penned a four-and-a-half-year contract, which also includes a release clause of £71m.

"He told me that Valencia CF is an excellent club, that I wouldn't regret coming, and that Marcelino is a great person and a great coach", Coquelin said.

Coquelin admits he spoke to Arsenal team-mates Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal, Hector Bellerin and Santi Cazorla about life at Mestalla before making the move.

First look at Tom Hardy as Venom's Eddie Brock
I can promise you badass action, Venom's dark humor, and I can also promise you an absolutely stunning performance by Tom Hardy . It's unclear whether that means we'll get to see Venom swing into the MCU or pop up in some other Marvel/Sony film.

'He went from, I remember my first game was at Man City and I called him the police officer or something like that because he was shielding everything. They were very good.

Coquelin joined from French side Stade Lavallois in 2008 and went on to make 159 appearances for Arsenal.

"The best way to replace him is getting [Aaron] Ramsey and [Mesut] Ozil back", he added.

Asked after Arsenal's 0-0 Carabao Cup draw with Chelsea if Coquelin had left the club, Wenger said: "Yes".
