Donald Trump's lawyer has denied the U.S. president had an affair with an adult film star 12 years ago, but did not address a specific allegation that Mr Trump paid her $130,000 to prevent her from discussing the encounter.

It was made "as part of an agreement that precluded her from publicly discussing an alleged sexual encounter with Mr. Trump".

An attorney for the Trump Organisation, set up the payment to the woman - whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday. "She didn't respond to requests for comment", the Journal reported.

"This is now the second time that you are raising outlandish allegations against my client", Cohen was quoted as saying by Business Insider.

Clifford added: "If I did indeed have a relationship with Donald Trump, trust me, you wouldn't be reading about it in the news".

A White House official called the report "old" and "recycled", and Cohen shared a signed statement by Clifford that said, "rumors that I have received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false". In fact, Clifford confided to friends that she engaged in a sexual affair with Trump, whom she claimed had promised to help her get cast on "The Apprentice" or another TV show.

Martin Luther King Jr
Bernice King, will be the keynote speaker at the commemorative service honoring her father at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. The library will remain open that day, and via a partnership with HMIN will offer free educational programs and activities.

In an email sent to The New York Times on Friday, Cohen refused to comment on the alleged $130,000 payment to the adult film star, but said, "These rumours have circulated time and again since 2011".

However, another porn actress who was present in 2006 at the celebrity golf tournament where the affair supposedly took place has come forward with her own story.

Clifford appeared in 150 porn films, the Journal reported, and had a relationship with Trump when she was 27. The statement denied that Ms Clifford and Mr Trump had a "sexual and/or romantic affair". That official didn't answer questions about an agreement, and it's unclear whether Trump knew about any agreement or payment involving Clifford.

President Donald Trump has been the favorite child of controversies.

However, we should note that the report indicates Donald may not have known about the payment. "Introducing the Stormy Daniels, $9 all weekend long", The Brighton said on Twitter Saturday afternoon.
