Now cops claim more suspects in Las Vegas massacre

Las Vegas mass shooter Stephen Paddock's ashes were given to his brother-months after he committed the deadliest shooting in modern US history.

- Investigators scanning computers belonging to Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock found "numerous" child pornography photos, the city's sheriff revealed Friday, adding that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking into a person of interest in the case. At one point, Paddock looked up the number of beachgoers in Santa Monica, California.

"We have done a lot of work trying to piece together what happened", Sheriff Joe Lombardo said during a news conference Friday.

Authorities on Friday released a preliminary investigative report on the Las Vegas shooting in response to large public interest in the case. He said there was no radical ideology found in the investigation. Lollapalooza took place between August 3-6 and "Paddock specifically requested a room overlooking the venue when he made the reservation", the police report states.

The report mentions Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley, who was out of the country during the attack and who has been interviewed by investigators several times.

The exchange occurred during a hearing in which CNN and other media outlets were seeking access to sealed court records about the probe into the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history. Lombardo reiterated Paddock, 64, acted alone although he said there is an open FBI investigation into an unnamed person of interest.

His advice is to "get out of the way before it lands" by restructuring the state tax system. "Those will continue forward". She suggests there is enough information and research already completed that concludes it would be good for the state.

He also said that the report will shed light on planning of attack, Paddock's research, and how he carried out the attack.

On October 1, the late gunman opened fire into a crowd of 22,000 concertgoers from a high-rise hotel suite at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

After the press conference, CNN mentioned to Lombardo that he had previously said Paddock committed the attack for status and loss of money.

"I know and believe there was only one suspect who killed 58 people and injured hundreds more".

Paddock also booked hotel rooms in Las Vegas during the Life is lovely music festival, which was held in September, and was seen on surveillance camera footage transporting suitcases to and from the rooms.

Lombardo and Aaron Rouse, FBI specialist in control in Las Vegas, had portrayed Danley as a man of enthusiasm for the examination however not a suspect.
