Rs 498 Plan: Jio's 498 pack offers 182GB data at 2GB every day, for 91 days.

As part of the Happy New Year 2018 offer, Reliance Jio had announced an increase in data allowances, or a discount of Rs. 50 on the existing plans.

"It is very logical to assume that, after Jio's strong signalling at its analyst day, Airtel knew that Jio would follow up on any tariff cut". Apart from these, users get unlimited calling, 100 free SMS per day, and access to the application bouquet from Jio. When it comes to calls, there is a daily cap of 250 minutes, and weekly cap of 1,000 minutes. Rest of the benefits of the plans remain same.

According to the new Reliance Jio Republic Day offer, Jio Prime subscribers can now get up to 50% more 4G data for free, in addition to a discount of Rs. 50 across a range of Jio plans and packs. If you recall, Airtel Rs 199 previously offered 1GB data per day, resulting in 40% jump overnight. Earlier this plan offered free calls from Airtel to Airtel but now it offers unlimited local, STD and roaming calls irrespective of any network. There is, however, a small caveat here - the plan is only available in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circles. This means that Jio subscribers using 1GB per day data packs will get 1.5GB everyday instead, and the users who opted for 1.5GB per day data plans will get 2GB data instead. The Airtel's Rs. 349 plan has a validity of just 28 days but offers 2.5GB of data per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. Earlier there is only 70GB data in the plan.

Jio's Rs 399 plan has been slashed to Rs 349, and offers 1.5GB daily data with 70 days validity. Jio's Rs 399 plan as of now gives clients 84GB aggregate data at 1GB every day, while Rs 449 offers 91GB data taking all things together. In the interim, the Rs 398 recharge offer gives clients 105GB data (1.5GB daily) for 70 days. However, Jio plans to rejig its plans once again as part of a Republic Day 2018 Offer that it will announce in the next couple of days, Gadgets 360 has learned. Airtel, on the other hand, also has a similar plan priced at Rs 448.
